Why add us to 'trusted sites' ?

A more detailed explanation for the technically minded.

To serve the needs of our shared user-base we have implemented Single Sign On across our multiple domains and servers.  For this reason we have a central SSO host at sso.comprehensiveadvisorservices.net.

When we initially activated the new system several erroneous "cookie errors" were being issued for Internet Explorer (IE) browsers.  This has since been fixed. You do not need to lower your cookie security levels to accommodate us.

Strictly speaking there is no present need to do anything as long as you can browse the site(s) without getting logged out.  However, if you are having log-in difficulties or simply want to ensure that you get the very best from our system in the future you may choose to add our sso server to IE's "Trusted" Sites zone.

The URL sso.comprehensiveadvisorservices.net is the only one you should need to "trust".  It's also the one our SSL certificate will be named for.  We have not yet switched to our SSL implementation, but we will be doing so very soon (no later than February 2011).

It may have been suggested that you add both http:// and https:// versions of the URL for the time being, but you could certainly choose to add just the https:// version on the assumption that it is forthcoming.

Please Do Not set the "trusted sites zone" security higher than medium-high or the login form will not render properly.
